In need of a tidy up....................and a bit of attention to detail

The first thing to consider is that this is a hotel in the heart of the City. The location is great for the Food Quarter, and stations, the downside is that if you drive here there is a ULEZ in place, and also that you will have to be prepared to sell a kidney to park anywhere near the hotel. Even with the NCP App discount, it is still upwards of £30 per day. So to the hotel. First impressions were OK, a bit dated, but no more so than many hotels 'Post Covid'. However, the meeting rooms were poorly equipped, AV equipment was limited to a TV with an HDMI cable, no cameras or clickshare. A distinct lack of power points, and tables that were falling apart, and also held together with sticky tape. The breakout/coffee areas were well thought out, and a good selection of snacks and drinks. Oh, and the toilets that serve the meeting rooms were pretty poor. Two trips to the Gents during my stay, both times one cubicle was out of service, the other looked like a 'War Zone'. Used the disabled facilities instead which were not much better, and somewhat surprisingly had no hand wash, or toilet paper. Now, some of what follows is a personal preference. I do not like heights, so 16th floor is not a great place to be, floor to ceiling windows mean I generally have to shut the curtains for the duration of my stay. I also like fresh air, not aircon, again, not something you get on floor 16. Bed was comfy, good selection of pillows, but the decor was well past its best, and the bathroom was a trip back to the 1990s, in dire need of an upgrade. The service overall was good, breakfast staff especially so, and food quality as expected. Check in and out was also very well organised. All in all, an OK stay, but could do with being pulled into the 21st Century, and a concession/discount on parking.

Super quick and easy check in assisted by Markos at front desk who was extremely polite and made us feel at home! He made us aware of all the amenities and social experiences nearby. and local train stations etc.. :) Breakfast was also great! 5******

Hotel is good location for theatres and new st station.Greeted warmly by reception staff.There are 18 floors with 3 lifts servicing them and were quick. Standard room supplied with the usual tea coffees etc and two bottles of free spring water. Breakfast was very good and a very good selection of cereals & hot food.If wanting something special worth adding to your list if visiting Birmingham.

I've been to Birmingham city several times over the years due to friends and business here, stayed at various hotels normally around Birmingham New Street. Radisson Blu is hands down the best hotel in this town in terms of service, location, cleanliness, and value for money. My advice is to download their free app, sign up for their free membership to collect points and get the best price especially if you know you are going to Birmingham in advance anyway. Do that and you'd find yourself getting great value for a decent sized, luminous, clean and comfy room with full sized windows, and bestoutstanding service - professional, hardworking and kind- which is so important. And they hire enough people so guests do not feel rushed when they are checking in and out or asking questions. The staff make an effort to remember repeat guests... You know, the good old traditional hospitality when we check into a nice hotel where everyone is attentive, smartly dressed and courteous.

I always choose to stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, just a short walk all from the Bullring and China town. The beds are extremely comfy, the staff are very friendly and always accommodating. Great breakfast options and very attentive staff.
